Our department has a rich tradition of excellence as a national obstetrics and gynecology (OBGYN) leader. Our tripartite mission is to deliver exceptional clinical service, research, and education, with a clear vision of transforming healthcare for the better, through inclusion, diversity, equity, advocacy, and community engagement. We have incredible strengths in people and purpose through our CARE model of Clinical Service​, Administrative Support & Oversight, Research​, and Education. We provide expertise in all major specialties of OBGYN with a focus on delivering high-quality patient-centered care. We engage in innovative research. As one of the highest NIH-funded obstetrics and gynecology department in the United States, our collaborative basic, clinical, and translational research initiatives are outstanding. We advance future clinicians and scientists through our nationally recognized educational programs for students, residents, and fellows. Ranked as a top 10 OBGYN residency, our four-year program is the foundation of our educational mission and we train nine residents per year through an academically oriented, evidence-based curriculum. In our team-based environment, our residents care for a diverse patient population alongside supportive and accessible faculty with extensive subspecialty exposure. We proudly advocate for OBGYN healthcare across the lifespan and look forward to leading future advancements through our mission.
