Ranging from community organizing to social enterprises, from political campaigns to voting, and more, there are many ways to make an impact post-graduation. The ChangeMaker Series highlights a civic leader’s background, career path, and insights to future leaders – students at WashU. The series invites students to have a seat at the table with leaders from diverse sectors to connect, engage, and inspire, and inform their civic journeys. His work throughout his career uses data responsibly to improve cities through a culturally competent lens. April 14, 2023. “Pathfinding: How to Chart Your Journey to Public Service” with Joe Sutherland. Fellow of our Weidenbaum Center on the Economy, Government, and Public Policy and Emory University Professor. With a career spanning the White House, the Dow Jones 30, and our nation’s top universities, Dr. Joe Sutherland has served as an executive, academic, and public servant. April 26, 2023. An afternoon with Jeanné Lewis, AB ‘02. Interim CEO of Faith in Public Life. From her time as Ervin Scholar and service leader at WashU, through faith based community organizing, running for City Council in DC to leading congressional conversations on race, Jeanné has cultivated dialogue across difference and commitment to collective action.
