The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers publishes transactions on about 60 different topics, from aerospace and electronic systems to visualization and computer graphics. This is a breadth so great that no single electrical engineering department can hope to span it. Moreover, those fields themselves encompass still more fascinating specialties. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of&＃160;ABET, under the General Criteria and the Electrical Engineering program criteria. Graduates will establish themselves as practicing professionals or engage in advanced study in engineering or a related area. Objectives & Degree Requirements Bachelor of Science in Applied Science (Electrical Engineering) Students who do not plan to pursue a career in electrical engineering but seek a strong foundation in the principles of electrical engineering may choose this degree. This applied science degree is not accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of&＃160;ABET. Degree Requirements ABET Data Enrollment and graduation data for the BS in Electrical Engineering Academic Year Enrollment (all undergraduate levels) BS Graduates 2018 98 27 2019 98 22 2020 92 35 2021 82 29 2022 92 22 2023 98 25 Minor and Second Major Interested students can apply to pursue either a second major or a minor to enhance&＃160;their background, knowledge and skills in the areas of applied physics and electrical engineering. Minor Students can pursue a minor in Electrical Engineering. The minor program requires students to complete five courses consisting of&＃160;three required courses and two electives. Second Major A second major in electrical engineering is ideal for students majoring in many areas, such as mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology. Students are not allowed to add this second major to either the BS in Electrical Engineering or the BS in Applied Science (Electrical Engineering).
