As cyber threats continue to evolve and become more complex, the demand for skilled IASAE professionals is growing rapidly. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of information security analysts, which includes IASAE professionals, is projected to grow 33% from 2020 to 2030, much faster than the average for all occupations. This demonstrates the importance of individuals with the skills and knowledge required to design and implement secure information systems. At WashU's TLCenter, we offer an Information Assurance System Architecture and Engineering training program designed to help students develop the skills and knowledge needed to manage and secure information systems in organizations. Our courses are specifically tailored to the needs of the Department of Defense (DoD) workforce, including military service members, defense contractors and civilians. We offer training and certification programs at different levels, with courses covering topics such as security design, risk management, and system testing. IASAE Career Training Guide IASAE Level I Training As an Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) at the IASAE Level I, your primary responsibility will be to provide support to the development, integration, and evaluation of security architectures, systems, and technologies. This includes assessing and mitigating system vulnerabilities, designing and implementing security solutions, and monitoring and maintaining security systems. In order to perform these tasks effectively, you will need to have a strong foundational understanding of security architecture and engineering. The IASAE Level I courses are designed to equip you with the necessary skills to perform your job responsibilities. The CompTIA Security+ Exam Prep course provides an introduction to the basics of network security and risk management. It covers topics such as network security protocols, encryption, and access control. Additionally, the Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) course teaches you about the principles and practices of implementing a zero-trust security model. This approach to security assumes that every user and device, whether inside or outside the network, is untrusted and requires continuous verification before being granted access to resources. Other courses in this level, such as the CFR - CyberSec First Responder Exam Prep, CND: Certified Network Defender, and CySA+ Exam Prep provide foundational knowledge on network defense, vulnerability assessments, and incident response. CompTIA Security+ Exam Prep CFR - CyberSec First Responder Exam Prep CND: Certified Network Defender CySA+ Exam Prep Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) IASAE Level II Training As an Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) at the IASAE Level II, you will be responsible for designing and developing security architectures and solutions for complex systems, networks, and applications. You will work on identifying and mitigating advanced persistent threats, as well as implementing and enforcing security policies and standards. Our IASAE Level II courses are designed to provide you with advanced skills in security architecture and engineering. The CISSP Exam Prep course will teach you about the eight domains of information security and prepare you for the industry-standard CISSP certification. The CISM - Certified Information Security Manager course will teach you the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively manage information security programs. You will work on designing and integrating security architectures, conducting risk assessments, and managing security projects. Our IASAE Level III courses are designed to provide you with advanced skills in security architecture and engineering.
