We have two tracks, one focused on public and global health and the other on aging and neurological disease. Institute for Public Health Practicum Opportunities The Institute for Public Health is an affiliated practicum site for Brown School MPH and MSW students. Practicum and internship opportunities are on our employment opportunities page when available. ————————————————————– Department of Pediatrics Fellowship Opportunities The Pediatric Cardiology fellowship program at the School of Medicine and St. Louis Children’s Hospital prepares fellows to become pediatric cardiologists able to independently supervise the diagnosis and care of infants, children and teenagers/young adults with all forms of congenital and acquired cardiac disease.  Infectious Diseases Fellowship Opportunities The Division of Infectious Diseases Fellowship Training Program at the School of Medicine is designed to attract outstanding young physicians and train them for academic and clinical careers in infectious diseases. Postdoctoral Fellowship in Accelerated Innovation The Clinical Research Training Center at the School of Medicine offers this Postdoctoral Fellowship in Accelerated Innovation “to demystify the processes of commercialization of new technology/translational discoveries by learning how to move projects to the next stage of commercialization and how to establish value-creating milestones, costs, and timelines.” Postdoctoral Fellowships in Cancer Prevention and Control Washington University and the Siteman Cancer Center are seeking applications for Postdoctoral Fellowships in Cancer Prevention and Control. They are particularly interested in candidates with an interest in health behavior and health disparities research, community-based research, cancer communication, epidemiology or decision sciences. Mr. and Mrs. Spencer T. Olin Fellowships for Women in Graduate Study The Olin Fellowship Program encourages women of exceptional promise to prepare for careers in higher education and the professions. Any female graduate or prospective graduate of an undergraduate institution in the US who plans to prepare for a career in higher education is eligible, provided she seeks and is able to meet the admission requirements of the Washington University program in which she intends to enroll. Undergraduate Research Programs The Office of Undergraduate Research serves as a resource for students beginning to explore the concept of undergraduate research by helping students discern their own research paths and find a mentor, connecting them to research funding and programs at WashU and beyond and providing opportunities to share their work.  Beyond Washington University American Society of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene Fellowships ASTMH offers a variety of fellowships and awards for members, and in some instances, non-members.  Association of Schools and Programs in Public Health ASPPH fellowship and internship programs offer opportunities for current masters and doctoral level students and recent graduates to round out academic training and gain hands-on public health experience while continuing to develop professional skills and expertise in public health. CDC Public Health Fellowships and Training The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has a number of public health fellowships and internship opportunities for students and early career professionals. L’Oréal USA For Women in Science Program  The L’Oréal Foundation awards women postdoctoral scientists annually with grants for their contributions in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields and commitment to serving as role models for younger generations. The Pathways Program for Students & Recent Graduates to Federal Careers Three opportunities: 1) a student internship program, 2) A recent graduate program and the Presidential Management Fellows program are operated by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. They aim to improve recruiting efforts, offer clear paths to Federal internships for students from high school through post-graduate school and to careers for recent graduates, and to provide meaningful training and career development opportunities. Helen Keller International Helen Keller International offers a limited number of opportunities for interns and volunteers with its offices in Africa and Asia, as well as its New York City headquarters. Kaiser Permanente North California Delivery Science Fellowship Program Investigators and fellows in the Division of Research work on the cutting edge of delivery science, partnering directly with Kaiser Permanente physicians and clinical operations leaders to develop and implement innovative research and quality improvement projects for patient care, in one of the nation’s leading integrated delivery systems.  Red Tree Study Academic courses are designed to encourage scholarship of Colombia within the context of the country’s unique culture and recent social and political developments. The Red Tree Study works in partnership with Colombia’s top universities to explore the social impact of the conflict in the country and the recent peace process there. Programs are immersive and interactive, engaging voices from many different communities within Colombia to foster open debate and inspire academic research.
