The conference is presented by Washington University’s Olin Business School in partnership with Edward Jones, Dimensional and 630 Venture Fund. The theme of this year’s conference is “Finance: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.” Leading academics and industry experts will cover a diverse set of topics with an emphasis on data-driven analysis (yesterday), current best practices (today) and FinTech and emerging trends (tomorrow). The conference draws hundreds of participants including researchers, industry professionals and the next generation of professionals, students from Olin’s wealth and asset management program. The conference’s virtual format enables organizers to bring in speakers who are global players in the field of wealth and asset management. This year’s lineup includes Martin Small, senior managing director, Head of US Wealth Advisory, BlackRock; Lena Haas, partner, Edward Jones; and Ken French, PhD, professor of finance at Dartmouth College’s Tuck School of Business. “The WAM conference supports the learning of students in all of Olin’s finance programs, but, is specifically designed to support the Wealth and Asset Management Master of Finance program,” said conference chair Rich Ryffel, professor of finance practice, market manager for J.P.
