While the project was initially intended to humanize and publicize the scientific work at Tyson for outside audiences, we have found an unintended impact on ourselves. Participation in the interview process has provided many with the opportunity to articulate important thoughts about their work in science, while exploration of the resulting galleries has enhanced the sense of community at Tyson.   Explore the Humans of Tyson   SUMMER 2023    Humans of Tyson 2022 was carried out as an independent project by Education Fellow Colleen McDermott. Celebrating our first in-person field season since 2019, this edition utilizes several forms of place-based GIS technology to tell our stories. It can be accessed from any device, though a computer display promises the best user experience.   SUMMER 2022    SUMMER 2021 Summer 2019 Summer 2020 Summer 2018   Our sincere gratitude to Lindy Drew, co-founder, photographer, and storyteller of Humans of St. Louis, for guiding us in her process and to Suzanne Loui, leader of the Tyson Science Communication Team, for elevating our humanity by telling our stories.
