Lopata Gallery is an open space for students to study and eat.  Lopata Hall is home to both Undergraduate Student Services and Graduate Student Services where students can receive academic advising and support. Technology & Leadership Center Vertigo is an annual dance party hosted by EnCouncil. It is the second most attended event on campus! Each year’s Vertigo has a different theme, with some past themes being Urban, Old-School Video Games, Inferno, Construction and Space. Hong Chen, assistant professor in biomedical engineering, develops ultrasound techniques for noninvasive, targeted, and personalized brain cancer diagnosis and treatment and for understanding brain functions in her Ultrasound Laboratory on the medical campus. Take a look at some of the research done in collaboration with WashU medicine: ShiNung Ching Lab Quing Zhu Lab previous slide The majority of the IMSE user facilities are located in the basement of Rudolph Hall (Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences). IMSE is the home to over 30 scientific instruments with facilities that available for use by researchers from WashU as well as other academic institutions and corporations. IMSE facilities includes a 14,000 net sq. ft. facility opened in Fall 2013 which includes a nanofabrication facility and a materials characterization facility.
