We are seeking candidates with strong commitment to transformative scholarship, which advances social, health, economic, environmental and racial justice, innovative educational approaches and mutually beneficial partnerships. We particularly encourage applications from individuals with expertise in one or more of the following priority areas aligned with the Brown School strategic plan, Driving Equity 2030: social welfare and health policy, environmental policy, child welfare, data science and biostatistics, global research, and community-driven science.The school provides a vibrant, highly collaborative environment that supports innovative transdisciplinary research through a network of research centers and institutes and excellence in teaching to achieve social impact. Faculty conduct groundbreaking research on mental health, child maltreatment, dissemination and implementation, global economic, social and community development, health and social welfare policy, epidemiology, the built environment and health, health disparities, and public health systems science. Together with Washington University’s world-class School of Medicine and campus-wide Institute for Public Health, the Brown School is a dynamic environment for transdisciplinary research and social problem-solving.Candidates should have an earned doctorate in a relevant field to one or more of our priority areas; competence to teach at the master’s and Ph.D. levels; and commitment to conduct high-level research, including the production of scholarly publications and preparation of research proposals for external funding.
