Undergraduate day division students register for classes using WebSTAC, as do many of the students in the graduate and professional schools. WebSTAC registration requires that the student first be admitted to one of the schools or colleges of the university. Browse Course Listings any time to read about all courses offered in the undergraduate, graduate and professional schools.  Course information in Course Listings includes course titles, descriptions, days and times when courses are offered, instructors assigned and the modality the course will be offered in. Students enrolling in courses offered through the School of Continuing & Professional Studies or Summer School register online through the School of Continuing & Professional Studies. Registration for coursework in the Inter-University Exchange program is handled differently. Students interested in those programs should first consult with their academic advisor to discuss eligibility requirements and the applicability of those courses toward a degree. Application/Approval forms are required. All students should follow up with the student services area in their school or program office for specific procedures and information about registration. Academic Advising Washington University considers advising to be an important part of a student’s educational experience. Most students are therefore required to meet with their academic advisor prior to registration each semester. Students are encouraged to formulate their educational goals, make lists of the courses they wish to take (including alternatives) and review these when meeting with their academic advisor. Academic Record Holds Students who have a hold on their academic records are not allowed to register for additional coursework. All students should check before registration to verify there are no holds on their records. Students with records on hold should check with the related department to have the hold removed. Classroom Scheduling The majority of classroom assignments for Danforth campus courses are made after courses are published to the web.  Students can check classroom assignments two weeks before classes start by logging into WebSTAC and clicking on “Courses and Registration” and then “Class Schedule.”  Students are advised to check WebSTAC just prior to the start of classes for the most current class and room information, since class information is subject to change. Medical School Students Medical School students should contact the Office of the Registrar at the School of Medicine or their program office for information about course registration.
