Equity and Inclusion Council The WashU Equity and Inclusion Council (WUEIC) provides institutionalized and structured communication, accountability, and alignment opportunities for university stakeholders working on equity and inclusion. The council is made up of WashU students, faculty and staff. Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs and Diversity Faculty Affairs and Diversity on the Danforth campus plays a critical role in ensuring and promoting the success of faculty of all backgrounds, on all tracks and at all career stages. They provide professional and leadership development for tenured/tenure-track faculty and teaching, research, and practice faculty. Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the School of Medicine The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion directly supports the School of Medicine’s commitment to creating an environment that is diverse, inclusive and nurturing of people from all backgrounds. Center for Diversity and Inclusion The Center for Diversity and Inclusion supports and advocates for undergraduate, graduate and professional students from underrepresented and/or marginalized populations, creates collaborative partnerships with campus and community organizations, and promotes dialogue and social change among all students. Office of Institutional Equity The Office of Institutional Equity works with existing diversity, equity, inclusion, climate, and culture offices, initiatives, and entities across the university serving as a catalyst for this work across the institution. Taylor Family Center for Student Success The Taylor Family Center for Student Success works to ensure that the full WashU experience is available to all students, regardless of background. Center for Teaching and Learning The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) promotes inclusive, evidence-based pedagogy, develops teaching-focused collaborations among campus partners, and strives to create a transformational educational experience inside and outside the classroom. Disability Resources Disability Resources (DR) is the official resource for WashU students who have disabilities or suspected disabilities. DR is dedicated to ensuring that every student has equal access to our campus and academic programs. Gender Equity and Title IX Compliance Office The Gender Equity and Title IX Compliance Office is committed to responding to gender and sex discrimination – including sexual harassment and sexual violence – in an effective and timely manner. We are equally committed to ensuring any individuals involved in these incidents will be treated fairly and respectfully. Human Resources WashU aims to cultivate an atmosphere of mutual respect, where the dignity, worth and uniqueness of each individual is valued and appreciated. Office for International Students and Scholars (OISS) The OISS is here to support international students and scholars during their time at WashU. Our services include immigration advising, orientation to the WashU and St. Louis communities, and other programs to help students thrive academically and socially and engage them in U.S. life and culture. Office of Religious, Spiritual, and Ethical Life The Office of Religious, Spiritual, and Ethical Life encourages interfaith understanding, supports the diverse religious, spiritual and ethical communities on campus, and facilitates interfaith student leadership development. Students of any or no religious, spiritual, or philosophical background are welcome. Office of the Ombuds The Offices of the Ombuds serve as confidential, independent and impartial resources that offer assistance in the informal resolution of university-related conflicts and advocate for fair treatment and process. Relationship and Sexual Violence Prevention Center The RSVP Center operates from a public health model and utilizes Trauma Informed Practices, Response, and Prevention Education to address Relationship and Sexual Violence. 24-hour services are available.
