The sports industry generates more than $70 billion in revenue in North America annually. And it continues to grow and attract enthusiastic new fans every season. The Business of Sports program equips you to better understand the business aspects of sports management so you can rise to the top of this dynamic field. If you’re looking for an exciting future career in sports, this is the program for you.  Specialized Curriculum Study sports-related business analytics, learn how the sports industry applies business principles and see the unique career opportunities available to you. Business of Sports curriculum details Non-BSBA Minor options Experiential Learning Get firsthand experience solving real-world business problems as a student consultant. You’ll tackle challenges that involve market research, data analysis and competitive analysis. One recent project involved students consulting for the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights to better understand their market and provide strategies to enhance the fan experience.  Immersion Trips The program includes three-day immersion trips to industry hubs around the country like New York, Los Angeles and Indianapolis. Students meet sports industry executives, athletes, agents, broadcasters and other industry professionals “on their turf,” gaining behind-the-scenes access to organizations. Internship Program As a result of contacts made through project engagements and on-campus speaking engagements, dozens of students have secured summer internships in the sports industry. Speakers and Events Hear from leading sports industry professionals who come to WashU Olin to share their insights and connect with students. Attend the annual Sports Summit in the fall and additional speaking events throughout the year.
