Trainees can change course knowing they have outstanding options no matter where their interests lead. Supportive mentors provide expert guidance along the way. Adult Epilepsy The Adult Epilepsy Program is a one-year ACGME fellowship in adult epilepsy. The one-year fellowship is ACGME approved for adult epilepsy with the emphasis in video EEG monitoring and the evaluation of patients for epilepsy surgery. Movement Disorders The Movement Disorders Section offers several different fellowship opportunities that emphasize training in either clinical movement disorders, research or both. Most applicants spend from two to three years in the training program. MS-Neuroimmunology The Neuroimmunology Section within the Department of Neurology offers two different types of post-doctoral fellowships. The goal of each is to provide clinical training and research opportunities to selected neurologists and PhD scientists to equip them for a career in neuroimmunology. Neonatal Neurology Washington University in St. Louis is proud to offer a one-year clinical fellowship in the evaluation and management of neurologic conditions impacting the fetal and newborn child. We provide comprehensive training in a large inpatient setting at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, including a newly expanded 125-bed NICU, combined with multiple outpatient specialty clinics. Neuro-Ophthalmology The Neuro-Ophthalmology Fellowship is a one-year, AUPO compliant, intensive clinical fellowship at one of the premier medical institutions in the United States. The clinical training focuses on the outpatient diagnosis and management of neuro-ophthalmologic conditions, including afferent and efferent disorders, in particular idiopathic intracranial hypertension, optic neuritis, giant cell arteritis, cranial nerve palsies, myasthenia gravis, pupillary abnormalities, and cortical visual disorders. Neurocritical Care The goal of the Neurocritical Care Fellowship Program is to provide a rich and rigorous academic environment in which the next generation of neuro-intensivists can develop into compassionate and highly competent leaders in this exciting and evolving field. Neuromuscular Medicine The Neuromuscular Medicine Fellowship at Washington University offers four available positions specializing in: clinical, electrodiagnostics, neuromuscular pathology and research NeuroRehabilitation The NeuroRehabilitation Fellowship Program of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery offers a one-year clinical fellowship for individuals who have completed an ACGME-accredited residency in neurology or physical medicine and rehabilitation, and are board eligible or board certified in the respective fields. Pediatric Epilepsy The Pediatric Epilepsy Center in the Department of Neurology at Washington University School of Medicine and St. Louis Children’s Hospital offers a one-year, ACGME-accredited fellowship in pediatric epilepsy beginning on July 1 annually. The program offers extensive training in all aspects of clinical pediatric epilepsy. Pediatric Neurocritical Care The goal of our fellowship program is to equip the next generation of pediatric neurologists, intensivists and neurosurgeons to be leaders in the field of pediatric neurocritical care. We emphasize training across a spectrum of critical illness, include direct and indirect brain injury, and along the entire longitudinal care continuum. We aim to provide a rich and rigorous academic environment that is individualized to a fellow’s career goals. Sleep Medicine The training program includes predominantly outpatient clinic experiences with multidisciplinary sleep medicine faculty with primary clinical background in neurology, pediatric neurology, pulmonary medicine, pediatric pulmonary medicine, otolaryngology, psychiatry and psychology. Vascular Neurology The Cerebrovascular Disease Section of the Department of Neurology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis offers an ACGME-accredited training program in the subspecialty of vascular neurology. This one-year program offers extensive training in both research and clinical care through a comprehensive program of didactic teaching and hands-on clinical experience.
