Students in the joint program take the pre-engineering core of mathematics, physics, chemistry, humanities, social sciences,&＃160;and some engineering subjects through the&＃160;University of Missouri-St. Louis. Students take upper-level engineering courses and laboratories at Washington University in the evenings after 4 p.m. This flexible program allows students to co-op during the day at local engineering firms. The program offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Civil Engineering*, Electrical Engineering* and Mechanical Engineering*. Total semester hours required range from 127 to 139. Students who meet the general admissions requirements of the&＃160;University of Missouri-St. Louis&＃160;may enroll in pre-engineering courses. Admission to the upper division program is normally granted to those students who have completed the pre-engineering program with a minimum grade point average of 2.75 over all mathematics, chemistry, physics and introductory engineering courses. Students register through the&＃160;University of Missouri-St. Louis&＃160;and pay University of Missouri-St. Louis fees, plus an engineering fee for both pre-engineering and engineering courses.
