Our faculty in each division and their individual sections are world leaders in their subspecialties. Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery Washington University cardiothoracic surgeons provide leading-edge medical and critical care, conduct groundbreaking research, and train future leaders in the field while developing treatments for heart and lung diseases in adults and children. Section of Cardiac Surgery Our nationally recognized cardiac surgeons offer the latest advances in technology and innovative therapies for patients with heart conditions. Section of Acute and Critical Care Surgery Our acute and critical care surgeons specialize in traumatic injuries, emergency surgeries, geriatric trauma, general surgeries, wound and burn care, and critical care.
