The 2023 Entering Class The group of 124 students is composed of highly talented, intellectually-curious, thoughtful, creative, community-minded and diverse young professionals with remarkable academic and personal qualifications. A recap of their orientation week may be found here. 2023 White Coat Ceremony Washington University welcomesthe Entering Class of 2023! Learn more Academic and personal qualifications (2023 Entering Class) Mean grade point average (GPA) of 3.88 Mean MCAT total score of 519.5 (96th percentile).  Originated from 31 states and 12 international students from 8 countries (Canada, China, Ethiopia, Lebanon, Morocco, Singapore, Vietnam, and Zimbabwe). States most represented are California (15) and Florida (10). Illinois and New York are each represented by eight students. Seven are from Massachusetts and Missouri. New Jersey and Texas each contributed five. Georgia, Maryland, and Virginia are represented by four students each. 52 different undergraduate institutions, with three or more students coming from: Washington University (23) Duke University (9) Johns Hopkins University (7) University of California, Los Angeles (6) Columbia University/Vanderbilt University (5 each) Cornell University/Harvard University/Stanford University (4 each) Pomona College, the University of Michigan, the University of Pennsylvania, and Yale University each contributed three new students Undergraduate Institutions Represented — 2012-2021 WashU matriculates students from a wide variety of very competitive schools.  In the last five years, 57 different schools contributed three or more matriculants and 154 schools contributed at least one matriculant.
