Through this, they have become more resilient, which will benefit them as they go out into jobs or on to graduate school. You can read about a few of our graduates — and our 21 valedictorians — in this newsletter. Congratulations to the Class of 2022! Aaron F. Bobick Dean and the James M. McKelvey Professor Meet the Class of 2022 valedictorians This year, McKelvey Engineering celebrates 21 valedictorians, which is among the largest number of valedictorians in the school’s history. Outstanding graduates: Hele Epstein, class of 2022 Hele Epstein will be among the first to graduate from the McKelvey School of Engineering with a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering. Outstanding graduates: Reilly Freret, class of 2022 After taking time off to get healthy, Reilly Freret is ready to graduate from the McKelvey School of Engineering with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. Outstanding graduates: Angelo Hawa, class of 2022 Experiences at the McKelvey School of Engineering helped prepare Angelo Hawa, who will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in aerospace, to earn a Graduate Research Fellowship. Outstanding graduates: Dinal Jayasekera, class of 2022 Dinal Jayasekera, who will graduate with a doctoral degree in biomedical engineering, is an engaged student leader who worked to improve the lives of students at McKelvey Engineering. Outstanding graduates: Oumeng Zhang, class 2022 Oumeng Zhang, who will graduate from with a doctorate in electrical engineering, has made a number of discoveries during his studies at the McKelvey School of Engineering.
