Student Outcomes Profiles Charlie Schach Interests Nature Hometown Fayetteville AK Interest Renewable Energy Academic Freedom to Follow Passions Interests I’m interested in renewable energy. Growing up in the Ozarks, I’ve always felt connected to nature and am passionate about doing what I can to maintain and build it up. Plus, I love environmental science. I want to carry these passions along with my interest in finance into the renewable energy industry. Why Olin? When I first visited WashU, I immediately realized the supportive nature of Olin and felt drawn to attend. The boundless career opportunities Olin can set you up with were also very persuasive. But what was most important to me was the academic freedom Olin granted. I have several interests and want the opportunity to take different courses and pursue different minors outside of the business school. Favorite Course I loved Managerial Statistics because so much emphasis was put on case studies, through which I learned how to apply statistics to understand real-world scenarios and misinformation. This was such a great experience that I plan on taking Professor Liberty Vittert’s new class, based on case studies, during my junior year. What was most important to me was the academic freedom Olin granted. I have several interests and want the opportunity to take different courses and pursue different minors outside of the business school.
