WashU provides distinctive, well-tailored academic programs to suit your needs and passions. Here, they will find a welcoming and diverse community. We welcome you to learn more about the admissions process. New & Incoming Students  Welcome to Washington University in St. Louis and to the United States. Students are an important part of the WashU community, and we are proud of the diversity that they help us to create. We know that many new international students have a number of unique needs before their arrival to St. Louis. We are here to make your student’s transition a smooth one as they arrive in the U.S. and will be here to help ensure them maintain their student visa status.  Current Students  Regardless of how long your student has been studying at WashU, we have resources available to assist them. Whether you need information on maintaining their status, employment & training, requesting a letter, travel or more, we have them covered. If you need additional information, you are always welcome to come speak with an international advisor during walk-in advising.  Orientation Programs  Orientation programs at WashU provide information and experiences that will help to ease your transition and gives students the opportunity to meet others in the WashU community and make friends before classes have even started.  Fall Programs  Undergraduate Fall Orientation  All international undergraduate students are expected to arrive on campus early for international undergraduate orientation. The OISS will hold two programs for international undergraduate students: First-year International (FYI) Orientation and Transfer & Exchange Welcome.  International Parent Orientation  Parents of international undergraduate students can attend International Parent Orientation and Parent & Family Orientation: Fall Welcome. Note that first-year International arrive to campus earlier than domestic students.
