Since working in the department of neurosurgery, I was inspired to further my education. Today, I’m enrolled in the Pre-Nursing Program at the School of Continuing & Professional Studies (CAPS), so that I can achieve my goal of obtaining a bachelor of science in nursing (BSN).” Medical Assistant Twice a year, Neurosurgery employees are invited to a staff retreat. This is an opportunity to have large group education sessions and discussions. Neurosurgery Chair Dr. Gregory Zipfel presents Kailey with the “Making a Difference” award for 2023. Kailey and her colleague Nayely were honored for their dedication to patients and the department. Neurosurgery staff members were treated to an afternoon of team building at the St. Louis Escape Room. The Neurosurgery Administrative Office, located in the Mid Campus Center, offers a workout room for staff. At the most recent holiday party, Neurosurgery staff celebrated at Busch Stadium.
