It serves not just the children of St. Louis, but children across the world, including patients from all 50 states and 80 countries. In 2021, U.S. News & World Report ranked SLCH in the top 10 percent nationally in all 10 specialties for the 13th consecutive year.  SLCH is the only pediatric hospital in Missouri and Illinois that is nationally recognized by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) as a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center (highest classification of trauma care). The hospital provides a full range of pediatric services to the St. Louis metropolitan area and a primary service region covering six states. As the pediatric teaching hospital for Washington University School of Medicine, the hospital offers nationally recognized programs for physician training and research. SLCH is one of the top pediatric transplant centers in the country, with active transplant programs for heart, liver, kidney, lung, and bone marrow. Families and guests can park in the hospitals&＃8217; visitor parking garage at the intersection of Kingshighway Blvd. and Children&＃8217;s Place. To access the garage, turn east on Children&＃8217;s Place from Kingshighway and make an immediate right into the garage. Once you&＃8217;ve parked your vehicle, take the elevator to the second floor walkway.
