Below are a number of opportunities to engage with the new student experience. Closed: Summer Student Associate The Summer Student Associate is a student employee hired by Student Transitions & Family Programs (STFP) within the Division of Student Affairs to assist with preparing to welcome new first-year, transfer, and exchange students to WashU. STFP is looking to hire between five to ten Summer Student Associates to work between May 17 and August 2, 2024 The 2024 Summer Student Associate application closed on April 12 at Noon. 2024 Summer Student Associate Position Description Closed: Integrated Marketing & Communications (IMC) Specialist The Integrated Marketing & Communications (IMC) Specialist is a student employee hired by Student Transitions & Family Programs (STFP) within the Division of Student Affairs to assist with digital, print, and social media communications that aid the department in meeting its mission. This position is a member of the STFP Student Marketing & Communications Team. STFP is looking to hire one IMC Specialist for 2024-2025. The 2024-2025 IMC Specialist applications closed on March 3 . 2024-2025 IMC Specialist Position Description IMC Application and Interview guide 2024-2025 IMC Specialist Application Closed: Student Graphic Designer The student graphic designer is a student employee hired by the Student Transitions & Family Programs (STFP) office to imagine, design, and create publicity materials that aid STFP in meeting its mission. This position is a member of the STFP Student Marketing & Communications Team. STFP is looking to hire two to three student graphic designers for 2024-2025. The 2024-2025 Student Graphic Designer applications closed on March 3 . 2024-2025 Student Graphic Designer Position Description 2024-2025 Graphic Designer Application and Interview Process Closed: Student Photographer The student photographer is a student employee hired by Student Transitions & Family Programs (STFP) to photograph STFP, Exec, and WUSA League events. Photography style may vary between stationary portrait style photo backdrops, candid style for larger events, and landscape photos of campus. The student photographer will be expected to edit (as needed) and upload photos in a timely manner to be shared with STFP for internal use and in publications. This position is a member of the STFP Student Marketing & Communications Team. STFP is looking to hire one student photographer for 2024-2025. The 2024-2025 Student Photographer applications closed on March 3. 2024-2025 Student Photographer Position Description 2024-2025 Student Photographer Application and Interview Process Closed: 2SA (Second-Year Student Associate) The 2SA position (Two-SAH), or Second-Year Student Associate, is a semester-long student leader role that focuses on engaging with and supporting second-year students with their academic and social activities at WashU. 2024 – 2025 2SA Applications closed on March 4. 2024-2025 2SA Application and Interview Process 2SA (2024-2025) Position Description Closed: WUSA (WashU Student Associate) WashU Student Associates (WUSAs – pronounced WOO-sah) are upper-division student leaders who assist new first-year, transfer, or exchange students with their academic, social, and personal transitions to Washington University in St. Louis. They serve as orientation leaders and as peer mentors for the student’s entire first year. Their primary duties are to remind students of academic deadlines, policies, and resources and to help build community among the first-year, transfer, or exchange student groups.  First-Year (FY) WUSAs work with first-year students and assist in Bear Beginnings: Fall Welcome. Transfer & Exchange (TX) WUSAs work with either transfer or exchange students and assist in Bear Beginnings: Transfer & Exchange Fall Welcome and Winter Welcome: Spring Transfer & Exchange Student Orientation. 2024 – 2025 WUSA Applications closed on February 13. First-Year WUSA (2024 – 2025) Position Description Transfer & Exchange WUSA (2024 – 2025) Position Description Closed: Student Executive Board member The Student Executive Board helps to create, plan, and implement programs that aid new students and their parents & families in their academic, social, and personal transition to Washington University. Each Student Executive Board member holds a specific chair position and works to implement our various programs. The Student Executive Board applications are currently closed. First-Year WUSA Chair (2024 – 2025) Position Description Transfer & Exchange WUSA Chair (2024 – 2025) Position Description 2SA Chair (2024 – 2025) Position Description Closed: Student Transitions Practicum Student The Student Transitions Practicum Student positions are a learning-laboratory experience where graduate students preparing to work in Higher Education Administration and Student Affairs are provided an opportunity to engage with literature, research, and assessment in order to audit or develop intentional interventions for course credit. They will work with various student populations including first-year, sophomore, junior, senior, exchange, transfer, and gap-year students. Additionally, they will assist with curriculum development and hiring processes for undergraduate student employees.
