Ladenson Fellow in Experimental Clinical Pathology: The Jack H. Ladenson Fellows in Experimental Clinical Pathology was established by the Department of Pathology & Immunology in honor of Jack H. Ladenson, PhD, who has made numerous important contributions to clinical pathology, the Division of Laboratory and Genomic Medicine and the Department of Pathology & Immunology over the 37 years that he has been a faculty member in the department. Dr. Ladenson’s research has focused on the development of clinical tests for the diagnosis of common cardiovascular diseases including myocardial infarction, and his work has lead to the development of several tests commonly used to diagnose heart attacks around the world. The Jack H. Ladenson Fellows in Experimental Clinical Pathology will be awarded to residents or fellows in their final years of training that, in the view of the faculty, show exceptional promise for careers in academic clinical pathology. The support for fellows will be structured to best help them achieve their research goals and establish the foundation for their independent careers in the final years of their fellowship training.
