Center for Biomolecular Condensates (CBC) The Center for Biomolecular Condensates is an interdisciplinary center that supports researchers from engineering and basic sciences who focus on the cell. Center for Engineering MechanoBiology (CEMB) CEMB seeks to advance the study of mechanical forces in molecules, cells, and tissues in plants and animals. Center for Trustworthy AI in CPS The Center for Trustworthy AI in CPS conducts research to advance trustworthy AI-driven CPS engineering. Center for Water Innovation (CWI) CWI supports collaborative research that enables sustainable water and wastewater management and addresses the nexuses of water-energy, water-environment, water-health and water-food. Center for Women's Health Engineering Building on WashU’s strengths within the McKelvey School of Engineering and the School of Medicine, including the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, the Center for Women’s Health Engineering advances novel engineering approaches to prevention, diagnosis and treatment in the field and train the next generation of researchers, entrepreneurs and policy leaders. Synthetic biology Manufacturing of Advanced materials Research Center (SMARC) SMARC's goal is to combat plastic waste by creating a circular bioplastic economy that eliminates non-biodegradable plastics from polluting land and sea.
