The John Cochran Division, named after the late Missouri congressman, is located three miles from Barnes-Jewish Hospital. There, the division provides services including an outpatient pulmonary clinic, inpatient pulmonary consultation, pulmonary function testing, diagnostic and interventional bronchoscopy, diagnosis and treatment of sleep disordered breathing, as well as coverage of the medical intensive care unit. There is one rotating pulmonary and critical care fellow at the VA at all times who train under the supervision of five faculty members who are dedicated to patient care at the VA.
