Generate a lasting impact on the priorities that matter most to you. When you make an endowed gift or name a campus space, your name is woven into the fabric of WashU, and your support endures in perpetuity. Explore the naming opportunities below to find the best fit for your own philanthropic goals. Your gift will be carefully invested to generate annual revenue, which will be used for the purposes you specify. Scholarships and fellowships Endowment gifts for scholarships and fellowships enable students to choose WashU, shape this remarkable community, and make a powerful difference in the world. You may choose to establish a scholarship in your name, in memory of a loved one, or even in honor of a professor who shaped your path. The goal of an endowment gift is to ensure that resources for scholarships will always be available. A portion of the earnings is reinvested each year to help the principal grow and provide an ever-increasing income. Larger endowments boost the annual support available for each student.  A gift of $250,000 establishes an endowed scholarship named in honor of you or a loved one. A gift of $1.5 million provides a full-tuition scholarship each year. cONTACTRebecca DavoltSenior Director, Donor [email protected] Endowed scholarship interest form If you’d like to establish a named scholarship, but not at the endowed level, you may sponsor an annual named scholarship with a gift of $10,000 or more. We encourage you to establish an annual scholarship by making a multi-year commitment, or you may choose to renew your gift each year. Learn more about annual scholarships Professorships and deanships Honor forward-thinking professors and deans whose work creates tremendous impact. Kim Kuehner, MBA ’77, named the space in memory of his parents, sister, and grandparents. How does the endowment work? The Washington University endowment is a collection of nearly 2,500 individual funds, all invested for the long term. Some are more than a century old, and all will live on through all the university’s days. The endowment is carefully managed to meet the university’s current strategic needs and to ensure sustainability long into the future. Most endowment funds are given with specific directives, set by donors like you, for how the income may be used.
