Services include burner testing, fuel testing, flue gas slipstream production, and bioreactor rental. Biology Facilities/Centers The Biology Department has research facilities with capabilities that include imaging and  plant growth. Center for High Performance Computing Offers users access to approximately 1,800 computing cores, 10TB of memory, and 19TFLOP/s of computing power. Additional features include high-speed networking, bulk storage, and technical support. Chemical and Environmental Analysis Facility (CEAF) The CEAF is an open, shared research and educational environment offering services that include elemental and molecular analysis, micro-fabrication, and nanoparticles syntheis and characterization. Chemistry Facilities The Department of Chemistry offers mass spectrometry, glass, and machine shops, as well as a stockroom from which common laboratory supplies may be purchased. Earth and Planetary Sciences Research Facilities The Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences has facilities offering microanalysis, planetary spectroscopy, and soil, water and plant analysis. Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences ICTS offers research resources and services in a number of areas, including informatics, precision medicine, implementation science & entrepreneurship, and biostatistics, epidemiology & researchdesign. Institute of Materials Science & Engineering IMSE user facilities offer a variety of services related to materials characterization, microfabrication and nanofabrication. International Center for Energy, Environment and Sustainability Catalyzes university-wide and external collaborative research and educational activities that seek solutions to grand challenges related to energy, the environment and sustainability. International Shared Facility – Center for Aerosol Science and Engineering CASE offers a suite of aerosol instruments and field sampling devices available to all CASE members and students. IT – Research Computing Engineering IT can assist with research websites and maintains a local computing cluster available to faculty, staff and students. Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology MIR includes seven research laboratories and ten support facilities for the advancement of imaging technology and radiological analysis. McKelvey Research Centers View a listing and description of all current McKelvey research centers. MEMS Shared Instrument Lab A resource for students and faculty whose studies or research involve understanding material behavior. NIH/NIGMS Biomedical Mass Spectrometry Resource Develops novel MS-based solutions to analytical challenges and provides service, collaboration, and training for MS-based characterization, identification, and quantification of all biomolecular classes extracted from in vitro and in vivo model systems. Other Core Facilities and Resources Search the Core Facilities database compiled by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research. Research Infrastructure Services RIS provides research technology services including data storage, a scientific compute platform, research applications, and controlled unclassified information (CUI). Siteman Cancer Center Shared Resources (Cores) These shared resources are available to all Siteman investigators to facilitate research. Available services include genome technology and engineering, biostatistics, informatics, imaging and proteomics. Spartan Light Metal Products Makerspace The makerspace is available to students, faculty, and staff and offers studio space and the advanced machine shop. UltraFast Laser Facility at Center for Solar Energy and Energy Storage The ULF provides services such as transient absorption, time-correlated single photon counting, time-resolved emission imaging, and time-gated weak emission recording. Urbauer Machine Shop Reserve a variety of fabrication equipment, such as milling machines, lathes, drill presses, band saws, grinders and welding tools.
