Meet the obstetrics care team Where we see patients During your pregnancy, you may schedule prenatal visits at either of our locations in South County or the Central West End. All of our patients deliver at the Women and Infants Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. During your pregnancy Our team-based approach makes scheduling at both locations reliable and assures that a physician you know and trust is available when you go into labor. At every step, your dedicated obstetric care educator will help ensure you’re comfortable, informed and ready for what’s next. What to expect from your prenatal visits » Having your baby Our obstetricians deliver exclusively at the Women and Infants Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. The center includes rooms for labor and delivery as well as C-sections, ample family visiting areas, and comfortable inpatient rooms for overnight stays. The labor and delivery space also connects to an all-private neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) in the St. Louis Children’s Hospital expansion, which houses one of the top-performing neonatology teams in the country. Both hospitals are ranked nationally by U.S. News & World Report, giving you and your baby immediate access to the best care available when you need it most. Support for you and your newborn After your baby arrives, our family-friendly care provides a nurturing and healthy environment that supports bonding with your newborn, whether feeding breastmilk or formula. We are the region’s only Baby-Friendly Hospital, a designation given by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
