Centrally located in the St. Louis region, the west county satellite is a convenient choice for patients and their families. We offer a quiet, peaceful space where patients can receive treatment, see their physicians, and undergo necessary testing without the added stress of a long drive into the city. The Siteman Cancer Center has operated a facility on the campus of Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital in Creve Coeur, Mo., since 2001. In July 2008, the facility moved to a new location in Medical Office Building 2. In 2019, a remodeling project was completed. The project renovated and expanded the patient waiting area, exam rooms and treatment area. Post renovation, the patient waiting area can hold 45 people (with room for additional chairs if needed). There are now 17 exam rooms and 40 treatment chairs. Radiation Oncology is currently undergoing and expansion and renovation project that includes an updated Radiation Therapy treatment machine, addition of dedicated patient changing rooms and the creation of doubling our number of clinical exam rooms. This project is slated to complete by August 2024. The board-certified medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and surgeons who staff our west county building also practice at Siteman’s main campus in St. Louis and collaborate regularly with other Siteman and Washington University Physicians. In addition, many Siteman surgeons and specialists practice in other offices on the campus of Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital, making it possible to receive comprehensive care without traveling to a different location. Our west county staff also includes registered nurses and oncology certified nurses who have specialized training in caring for cancer patients. A research coordinator is available to talk with patients about possible participation in clinical trials, which provide access to new medications and treatments not available at most cancer centers. Patients who come to our west county location can also take advantage of a wide range of support services and therapies aimed at helping them feel their best as they undergo treatment for cancer. Some of our programs include Therapeutic Horticulture with the Missouri Botanical Gardens, Pet Therapy with therapy dogs, and virtual programs and services like gentle yoga. We also have trained social workers on staff who can help patients with specific problems at home or at work that might arise during treatment. PDF of driving direction and a campus map You can also access this information on the Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital website.
