Can Washington University graduate students and postdocs apply? What information should be included in the application? Do I need to arrange Washington University faculty who can serve as mentors? Regarding funding, what will be provided? How long are the appointments? How many fellows will be selected for the first cohort? Can I include supplementary materials with the application? Who is eligible? Graduate students, including MD-PhD, and postdocs are eligible. Applicants are encouraged to apply prior to graduation but must have received their degree before starting as a Fellow. Eligibility is restricted to applicants who have not graduated yet or have graduated within two years prior to the application deadline. Can Washington University graduate students and postdocs apply? Yes. What information should be included in the application? Applicants should submit their CV/BioSketch, a one page summary of their previous work, and a one page statement describing their goals for the research they plan to conduct as a Fellow. References list may be included on a separate page. All materials should be submitted to [email protected] . Do I need to arrange Washington University faculty who can serve as mentors? No. However, identifying potential mentors is recommended. Regarding funding, what will be provided? AIMS Fellows are provided a salary competitive with a starting position in industry, funding sufficient to hire a technician and a yearly supply budget. How long are the appointments? The AIMS Fellow award is for three-years, with the possibility of a two-year extension. How many fellows will be selected for the first cohort? Our goal is to recruit 2-3 Fellows. Can I include supplementary materials with the application? No extra materials will be reviewed.
