Siteman Cancer Center, The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis, University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy, Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College, Shriners Hospital for Children, and Central Institute for the Deaf.  Siteman is one of 56 National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers, and offers the expertise of 450 Washington University research scientists and physicians.  WashU Med and several of its educational partners have collaborated to form the Center for Interprofessional Practice & Education. The medical campus generates an annual economic impact of $8 billion for the St. Louis region (fiscal year 2022), and with more than 27,400 employees, the combined medical campus institutions are among the largest employers in the metropolitan area.  The 186-acre Washington University Medical Campus, spread over portions of 18 city blocks, is located along the eastern edge of Forest Park in St. Louis and also borders St. Louis’ Cortex Innovation Community.
