Our goal is to help capture and encourage students&＃8217; interest in science at an early age, before college, so that they have the opportunity and support to pursue a career in STEM. For over thirty years, the Young Scientist Program has directly impacted the lives of thousands of students in grades K-12 in St. Louis, Missouri. We have provided over 400 high school students with summer research internships, over 200 high school students with long-term academic and personal mentorship, and over 20,000 K-12 students with hands-on exposure to science in their classrooms. The Endowment for Science Literacy supports the Young Scientist Program to improve science education in the greater St. Louis area.
