Together with the Division of Clinical Research, CRepHS supports the department’s overall research enterprise. CREPHS website We are building a team of outstanding investigators dedicated to basic and translational reproductive health research. See faculty listing » Research infrastructure CRepHS provides an infrastructure of core facilities and resources to support basic and translational research while facilitating collaborations across disciplines and institutions. Core facilities Our core facilities support cross-disciplinary research in reproductive health and related fields. CRepHs members, as well as national and international collaborators, have access to these facilities, which are located in the BJC Institute of Health. Visit the CRepHS website to learn more about our core facilities: Tissue Histology Core Imaging Core Biobanks CRepHS faculty members manage several biobanks that acquire and store specimens throughout a woman’s lifecycle (adolescence, pregnancy, pre- and post-menopause), as well as detailed clinical histories. These specimens and data can be leveraged for translational studies and provide drivers for the Precision Medicine Initiative. Visit the CRepHS website to learn more about these biobanks: Obstetrics biobank:Women and Infants Health Specimen Consortium (WIHSC) Gynecology biobank:Women’s Genitourinary Tract Specimen Consortium (WGUTSC) Gynecologic oncology biobank:Gynecologic Oncology Tissue Bank (GOTB) Department-wide resources for researchers In addition to the core facilities provided by CRepHS, resources available to investigators in the ob/gyn department include: Scientific manuscript editing Grant-finding and -writing assistance Additional tissue and data banks Clinical research facilities See more resources for researchers » Seminar series The CRepHS Seminar series features talks from national and international experts in the reproductive and GU tract health fields, interspersed with presentations on works in progress from our talented junior faculty and trainees.See the CRepHS seminar schedule » Our faculty Our faculty comprise a community of reproductive science researchers at Washington University. They are investigating topics as wide-ranging as maternal diabetes and fertility, urothelial stem cell regeneration, ovarian cancer metastasis, potassium channels in sperm, the biology of Zika virus infection in pregnancy, Zika’s effects on male fertility, non-invasive imaging techniques and uterine function during pregnancy and pre-term birth.View a list of current research projects »  Core faculty Farners Amargant i Riera, PhD Assistant Professor, ObGyn Sarah K.
